Andalucia election figures

Following the recent Spanish elections PSOE has come out on top in Andalucia as the most voted party in seven out of eight of the region’s capitals with Granada favouring the PP. But the party has lost support since the general election in April dropping 150,000 ballots.

In Andalucia the PSOE maintains its strength with 25 seats, PP holds 15 but Vox show to be the clear winner by doubling its representation from six to twelve. Ciudadanos have lost eight seats seeing them take a drop from eleven to three. Unidas Podemos go down from nine to six.

Despite the blow for Ciudadanos, the result is not as bad as in the rest of the country, Andalucia contributes a third of the seats that support Albert Rivera in Spain. However, they now face another challenge as after his party’s disappointing results in the snap general election, he resigned from his position as president of the party.
