Two major residential projects are set to significantly expand the housing offer on the Costa del Sol, with Kosmos in Torremolinos and The Kove in Mijas totaling 270 new homes and a combined investment of €100 million. These developments showcase a commitment to blending architectural innovation with sustainable living in the region.

The Kosmos project in Torremolinos involves a €40 million investment and will deliver 104 homes situated in an elevated position, offering stunning Mediterranean views framed by surrounding pine forests. Designed by HCP Arquitectos, the development features a horizontal layout to maximize panoramic vistas and privacy. Buyers can choose from two- and three-bedroom apartments, each thoughtfully integrated into the natural landscape. Residents will benefit from extensive communal amenities including outdoor and heated swimming pools, a gym, spa, and coworking spaces. Its strategic location just ten minutes from Málaga city center and five minutes from Málaga Airport makes it ideal for those seeking a metropolitan lifestyle within reach of nature.

Meanwhile, The Kove in Mijas will see an investment of €61 million and comprises 166 homes designed by Clavel Arquitectos in collaboration with HCP Architecture & Engineering. This development offers spacious two- and three-bedroom homes with large windows, open-plan interiors, and terraces designed as private outdoor extensions. Penthouses boast sweeping panoramic views, while ground-floor units include private gardens. The communal spaces, designed by Colliers Arquitectura, feature two swimming pools, a spa, gym, coworking areas, and a social club. The landscaping, by Rocío Sáinz de Rozas, highlights native flora such as lavender, thyme, and a citrus orchard, emphasizing a connection to the local environment.

Both developments prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency, aiming for an A rating and working towards Breeam certification, underscoring a strong commitment to green building standards.

The developers have earned numerous accolades in recent years, including awards for architectural excellence and innovation in residential design across Spain and Portugal.

A regional director emphasized the importance of the Costa del Sol in the strategy: “The Costa del Sol’s landscapes, coastline, and vibrant cultural and leisure offerings make it an exceptional destination. We are proud to contribute to its skyline with architecturally unique homes designed to promote wellbeing and a high quality of life.”

These projects mark an exciting chapter for the Costa del Sol’s residential market, combining modern design, sustainability, and lifestyle in one of Spain’s most sought-after coastal regions.
