Marbella expands with major Río Real development

Marbella is preparing for another significant urban expansion with the second phase of the Río Real Golf development, an ambitious project covering more than 47 hectares on both sides of the AP-7.
Promoted by Neinor Homes, one of Spain’s leading residential developers, the project will introduce 428 new homes, including 41 detached properties and 387 apartments distributed across six residential plots.
A major part of the development will be dedicated to public and recreational spaces. Almost 20 hectares are planned as green areas, alongside a new school, sports facilities, social amenities, infrastructure, roads and a commercial area.
The project was initially approved by Marbella Town Hall in September 2023 and is currently progressing through the administrative approval process. The estimated development costs amount to approximately €22.15 million.
The expansion represents an important step in the continued growth of Río Real and eastern Marbella, bringing new homes, infrastructure and services while creating extensive green and public spaces for the surrounding community.
