Spring is right around the corner. The season of joy and new adventures! At Mas Property we are all serious about our health and well-being. Now, we realise the gym is not everyone’s ideal place to get lean and fit. Marbella is a beautiful place to be, a tale of two cities where you can go skiing in the morning and then swimming in the ocean the same afternoon! You certainly don’t want to miss out on all the great outdoors activities the city has to offer. Luckily, today we bring you a selection of amazing local alternatives to get fit while enjoying the process!

Hiking

Hiking is group activity that requires the body to engage more muscles than during traditional walking. This fun sport also allows you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new territories. Marbella is the perfect place to hike. Trust us, your breath will be taken away when you discover the spectacular views on the top of La Concha. It is by far the most mesmerising spot of Costa del Sol and, if you are lucky, you will be able to see all the way across to Africa!

Away from the noise and the business of downtown Marbella, you will experience a feeling of both accomplishment and relaxation. It is also the ideal place to enjoy a romantic sunset with your loved one. We also recommend the stunning Camoján waterfalls, the Turtle Lake or Acequia trail Guadalmina.

Safety is important, there are plenty of professionals who offer guide services. You can join a group and if you are new to the city, you might make some friends along the way. Whether you chose to go with your friends or with your family, this is a must do.

Golfing

Golfing may not be the most exhausting sport of all but it is often associated with great mental health and peace of mind. It has also proven to improve your endurance, breathing and overall fitness.

Historically, Marbella has always been the most popular and luxurious golf destination in Spain. Thanks to its mild weather all year long and outstanding landscape, golfers come here every year to enjoy this fine sport. There is a great variety of courses for all ages and golf levels.

Among the best ones we recommend Real Club Valderrama, Finca Cortesin and Los Naranjos.

Skiing

From the most experienced athletes to the amateurs, we can all benefit from a day out on the snow, as skiing is proven to be both good for the mind and good for the body. Sierra Nevada is the largest ski resort in Andalusia and is only two hours driving distance from Marbella. The resort is composed of 106 kilometres of marked pistes and a total of 132 tracks. At the top lift, at a peak altitude of 3300 meters you can enjoy panoramic sea and mountain views, a truly spectacular feature of skiing on the Costa Del Sol.

Our favourite spot is El Lodge. This charming Finnish-style hotel features a spa, 2 swimming pools, a sauna, and is truly off the scale. Make sure you also try Hotel Vincci Selección Rumaykiyya or rent a flat in superb Trevenque resort.

Tennis and Paddle

Los Monteros has just re-opened its tennis club! The legendary luxury hotel, inaugurated its tennis club, which was closed and abandoned for nearly 30 years. Our building partner, By Nok was in charge of the construction and delivered incredible quality facilities with latest-generation technology. Four of the tennis courts have the ‘top-play’ system, which consists of a layer of artificial grass covered with clay, the latest of its type. The feeling on the court is incredible!
