Spain’s most expensive home is in Marbella, valued at €70 million

Marbella has once again reinforced its position at the top of Spain’s luxury property market. Villa Bellagio, an extraordinary mansion on Marbella’s prestigious Golden Mile, has been named the most expensive home currently for sale in Spain, with an asking price of €70 million, according to a ranking compiled by Idealista.

The spectacular estate offers approximately 5,600 m² of built space on a 14,000 m² private plot, with panoramic Mediterranean views. Designed by architect Jesús del Valle, the residence received the prestigious Macael award for best design in 2022.

Inside are 13 luxurious suites, alongside exceptional lifestyle and entertainment facilities including a spa, heated indoor pool, hammam, Finnish sauna, gym, massage room, cinema for 22 guests, bar and even a professional double bowling alley.

For car enthusiasts, the property features a 12-car showroom-style garage, while additional underground parking can accommodate up to 30 vehicles.

Marbella is not alone in representing the Costa del Sol at the very top of the market. Two properties in Benahavís also appear among Spain’s ten most expensive homes, priced at €34 million and €27 million.

With three of the country’s ten highest-priced residences located in Marbella and Benahavís, the ranking further demonstrates the Costa del Sol’s growing importance as one of Europe’s leading destinations for ultra-prime real estate.
