The first ‘mega pool’ in Europe comes to the Costa del Sol

The phenomenon of artificial lagoons which have been invested the largest resorts in the world arrives in Europe. Sunshine Coast will be the first Spanish enclave of these ‘megapools’ in the town of Casares, near the coast of Estepona.

La Alcazaba Hills Lagoons resort takes its construction, after years in detention, with a new project led by Crystalline lagoon technology developed with the company Crystal Lagoons, which has already developed large buildings in South America and the Middle East.

Located in an area of 30 hectares, will boast a crystalline lagoon of 1.5 hectares that will allow the practice of non-motorized water sports. Also, it will have a total of 450 apartments for sale with competitive prices from only €139,000 for 2 bed apartments. The project has an investment of over 121 million euros.

The company wants to develop projects in different regions of Spain such as Catalonia, Valencia and Andalusia and in other countries like Portugal, France, Italy, Greece and Croatia.
