Marbella is set to expand its international education offering with the development of a new bilingual Swedish school in the prestigious Nagüeles area. The project will provide education from preschool through high school and will have capacity for approximately 600 students.
The Marbella Town Hall has launched the public tender process for the transfer of municipal land, where the new campus will be built on a 12,510 m² site. The project represents an estimated €14.9 million investment and includes modern educational facilities, sports areas, and children’s playgrounds.
The school will be developed by the company behind Svenska Skolan Marbella, which has been operating in the city since 2003 and currently educates around 200 students at its Nueva Andalucía campus. Rising demand from Marbella’s growing Swedish community has driven the expansion, with the Swedish population in the municipality increasing by nearly 15% in 2025.
Construction is expected to take approximately 30 months, with the new campus scheduled to open within three years of the building permit being granted. The project further reinforces Marbella’s reputation as a leading destination for international families, offering an expanding selection of world-class educational facilities alongside its renowned lifestyle and luxury real estate market.
