The long-closed Sisu Hotel in Marbella is set to reopen under new ownership after nearly six years following a devastating fire in 2020. The project is being led by entrepreneur Arnaud Albouhair, who plans to invest €15 million to transform the property into a new five-star boutique hotel.
Currently in the design phase, construction is expected to begin soon, with completion targeted for 2028. The redevelopment will include around 50 rooms, two restaurants, a spa, and a nightclub, with a focus on larger, more luxurious spaces.
Located near Puerto Banús, the hotel aims to leave behind its controversial past and re-emerge as a high-end destination. The renovation will preserve the existing structure while fully upgrading infrastructure and interiors.
The project marks a significant step in revitalising one of Marbella’s most talked-about properties and reinforces the area’s continued growth in the luxury hospitality sector.
